Dimensions (inches):
  Width:   34
  Height:   42
  Depth:   12
Materials:   I had some home center pine and a few pieces of Bolivian Rosewood left over from past projects. Maple faced ply. for the drawer boxs.

As a learning experience  I  tried my hand at making dove tails, a rather enjoyable and gratifing experience. The doors are put together with  floating tenons and the panel is some bookmatched Rosewood, as are the door pulls.

Two drawers are Maple plywood  and Pine mortised together with Oak runners. The Rose wood panel is tongue and grooved with the pine frame which is floating in the rail and stiles.

The cabinet is hung onthe wall with two French cleats. Rosewood was finished with  a  card scraper and wipe on polyurathane. The rest of the cabinet has three coats of  shellac.

Drawer pulls are Rosewood ,the brass butt hinges are mortised in.

Judges Comments
RJ : Too pretty for a workshop cabinet really, but as a learning experience I can see you've gained much. The dovetails are raked quite severely leaving the tails with rather weak short grain and a coarse appearance. The strongly curved door top rails end up being a little too thin at the centre to be elegant. Good effort.
LG : You'll spoil yourself making nice cabinets like that for your workshop.
EW : I love the adventuresome quality of this piece. I'm sure you learned a lot, and your instincts are good. Keep it up and you will be winning future contests.
AJH : Don't listen to those guys -- good-looking shop cabinets are wonderful! Since the inner shelves are movable, I think it might look a bit better if that middle shelf were moved up a notch so it's in the same plane as the center horizontal door muntin.
